An innovative & dynamic programme designed to provide new & engaging night-time cultural experiences across Drogheda & East Meath returns this summer. This programme encapsulates our vision of extending cultural offerings, fostering partnerships, and creating diverse opportunities for artists & audiences alike.
Opening Night
Night Moves at Droichead, curated by SJ McArdle, returned with our first late-night club transforming every corner of Droichead Arts Centre into a captivating space. Audiences enjoyed ambient music in our gallery from DJ Emmie Lou, a bespoke art installation by visual artist Vivienne Byrne and a music programme in our theatre featuring Oisin Leech with support from Dotts O' Connor.
Night Tones
Night Tones returns this May and June offering an alternative night-time experience at the earlier times of 8.30pm and 9.45pm. These two immersive events feature live ambient music from local electronic artist Ógy Collins, paired with yoga and guided meditation led by Elaine Tobin, all set in the round in Droichead’s gallery space.
The first session at 8.30pm is a gentle yoga flow. The second session at 9.45pm is a guided meditation with less movement and more stillness.
Participants are asked to bring a yoga mat for session one and a mat or something similar to lie on for session two, and they can also bring pillow or cushion and a warm blanket to enjoy the sound experience.
